From that point the series follows a summer with too much free time, an empty house and no clear plan for what comes next. ![Summer Troubles (Movie): Short Drama on Runotoon](https://media.runotoon.com/blog/9fcc000b-4fc5-4d15-8a28-077636f87711.jpg "Summer Troubles (Movie)") **[Summer Troubles (Movie)](https://runotoon.com/series/summer-troubles-movie-f90d31)**: Summer Troubles (Movie), first 10 episodes free It is a small premise, told in short episodes, and it does not need a big budget or a complicated world to work. If you have ever had a summer where the days were long and nothing was decided yet, the mood will feel familiar. ## What is the story about? The synopsis is short and to the point. Dick fails his exams. His parents are away and he is left alone in their large home. There is no retake to hide behind, no daily routine to follow and nobody around to tell him what to do with his time. That is the whole starting point, and the series keeps its focus there. The interest comes from ordinary details: how the days fill up, who turns up, and what a person does when nothing is scheduled. Nine short episodes is enough room to tell that kind of story without stretching it out. ## How many episodes are there? There are nine episodes in total, and five of them are free. That means you can start the series, get a feel for the tone and decide whether to keep going before spending anything. The remaining episodes unlock with coins. Each episode is built for vertical viewing, so it fits a phone screen and does not need a TV or a laptop. If you have a few spare minutes, you can watch one episode without rearranging your day. ## Where to watch Summer Troubles online You can watch the series on [Runotoon](https://runotoon.com/series/summer-troubles-movie-f90d31), and there is no app to install and nothing to download. You open the series page, press play and the episode starts in the browser. That matters more than it sounds. Many short drama platforms push you toward an app store first, then a login, then a notification permission request. Runotoon skips that step entirely. It works on a phone, a tablet or a desktop browser, so you can pick up an episode wherever you already are. The free part is real as well. The first five episodes of this series cost nothing. After that, episodes unlock with coins, so you only pay if the story has earned your attention. ## Is it a comic, manhwa or anime? Searches around this title get mixed up, and it is worth clearing up. People look for a manhwa, a comic, a manga or an anime version because several unrelated comics and webtoon chapters use very similar names on comic platforms and creator challenge sections. Those are different works by different creators. The title on Runotoon is a short drama series, not a comic and not an animation. If you arrived looking for a webtoon chapter or an anime episode, this is not that. If you arrived looking for a short, easy-to-follow drama about a summer that goes sideways, you are in the right place. ## Who might enjoy it This one suits viewers who prefer quiet, character-driven short dramas over big twists. The story stays close to its central situation instead of piling on subplots, which makes it easy to follow in short sittings. It also fits anyone who has had a summer like this one: a stretch of weeks where school or work paused, the house was emptier than usual, and the biggest question was what to do with the next few hours. Stories about that feeling tend to land harder in July than in December. Finally, it suits people who watch on a phone and do not want to commit to a long series. Nine episodes is a weekend, an evening or a few commutes, depending on how you pace it. ## How to start watching 1.
