Low-level mage Elias gave everything to save Vivienne, a rejected pure-blood phoenix. But after regaining her pride, she grew ashamed of him and chose a stronger, wealthier mage instead. Heartbroken, Elias finally ends their bond and chooses Kaia, an unwanted Dragonkin who treasures him from the very beginning. As Elias discovers what it feels like to be truly wanted and protected, Vivienne realizes too late that the man she pushed away was the one person who had always loved her.
