Emma, a sharp, debt-ridden university student, wakes after a blackout night to find she's slept with Robert Erickson — the most feared billionaire in the city, who allegedly cleared out his own brothers to take his empire. She begs for secrecy; he offers her a blank-cheque favour instead, fascinated that she's the first woman to ever hang up on him. As Emma tries to outrun the fallout — a broken engagement, a missing ex, and Meyer family entanglements she desperately wants nothing to do with — Robert begins to pursue her with the patience of a man who always gets what he wants.
