Springtime when I was four.
Mom stopped coming home.

I remember now.

...Did she fall asleep during the meeting?
No, where am I?
...
So small
Wait a minute

...Huh?
...It's a girl
A girl...?

Thirty-two years old, single, works at a marketing company
One, two, three, four
Four-year-old girl
...Wait. I have two memories.

Be a good girl, okay?
Mommy
She started being away from home for longer periods when I was about three.
One day, two days. ...And then she finally stopped coming home.

If it was an accident, someone would have come. The police, a relative or anything.
No one has come. ...Missing, huh?

Ouch. I can't control my strength.
Crying won't fill my stomach.
First, I need to check my supplies.

The gas is shut off.
The electricity is off too.
The water is working.
Salt, sugar, soy sauce... kelp.
Money on hand: 20 yen.

Water ○ Electricity ○ Gas × Food × Money 20 yen
No calories.

Sugar water for a day. Licking salt for another day.
At this rate, I'll be screwed the day after tomorrow.

What happens if a four-year-old goes outside alone?
Normally, they'd be taken into protective custody. That's the right thing to do.
...But what if no one's there when I come back?

I'll wait. This body is still waiting.
...This is troublesome.
I know, though.
Information. What year is it now, and where is this place?

Contract has expired.

But I can use Wi-Fi. If only I can pick up a signal.
Convenience store, chain restaurant, train station.
Look for free Wi-Fi.
That night I survived on sugar water.

Okay. As expected, no one's here.
Water ○ Electricity ○ Gas × Food × Money 20 yen
...What do you mean, "as expected"?

Anything will do as long as I can wear them.
...The colors are different. Oh well.

...I can't get out because I locked the door.

...I'm leaving.

No. I know.
Even if you wait, they won't come.
