Drowning in debt, Kyle unknowingly signs up to be Chase's live-in training driver. Their hatred soon ignites into a secret romance, until a malicious leak exposes their affair and Kyle faces an impossible choice: betray Chase to save his racing career, or stand by the rival who stole his heart.
The first episode sets up the rivalry. Kyle explains that he and Chase Montgomery have been enemies since they were kids, and that Chase has been after him ever since. Kyle tells everyone he is straight and about to propose to his girlfriend, but the girlfriend turns out to have only dated him to get close to Chase, a billionaire heir and Formula One champion, and drops him.
In the next episodes, a fight at a club gets Kyle in trouble with his team. Then Chase steps in, buys a two-million-dollar debt, has the man who owed it blacklisted from every casino in the state, and warns him to stay away from Kyle. Kyle says he will get a summer job and pay Chase back every penny. A mysterious anonymous job offer arrives: five million dollars, too much to refuse.
