Kevin used his savings to take over a shuttered Corner Restaurant directly across from Central Avenue Restaurant. Jerry, driven by quick profits, turned a blind eye to Jeffrey's kickbacks and his use of repeatedly thawed and refrozen, spoiled beef and foie gras—causing the restaurant's reputation to collapse overnight.
