The first episode sets up the rivalry. Kyle explains that he and Chase Montgomery have been enemies since they were kids, and that Chase has been after him ever since. Kyle tells everyone he is straight and about to propose to his girlfriend, but the girlfriend turns out to have only dated him to get close to Chase, a billionaire heir and Formula One champion, and drops him.
In the next episodes, a fight at a club gets Kyle in trouble with his team. Then Chase steps in, buys a two-million-dollar debt, has the man who owed it blacklisted from every casino in the state, and warns him to stay away from Kyle.
